A Contextual and Theoretical Studies written and visual academic essay framed in the form of a digital publication, exploring how an understanding of the mnemonic devices: imagery of physical space and objects, can be used together to influence an artist’s practice and exhibition design. A case study of Beatrice Bonino’s If I did, I did, I die (2023).

When Is A Table Also A Table: Rock Series, is an explorative design project delving into the relationship between table designs and community.

The Rock Series follows an intrinsic interest in found objects to hosting and dining through the innate human experience of gathering and collecting. Curating scenarios with rocks and other found objects such as shells, sticks, sea glass or small manufactured accessories generate a meditative act. The mundaneness of a rock with a visually simple form produces a whimsy vehicle for play as the object isn’t what it is but what you want it to be.

Unreal Estate Inventory
is a photo series accompanied by text, created as a contribution to a collective publication titled The Comfort Menu (Anthology) in which each contributor was tasked to re-imagine everyday objects and spaces using comfort as a single design criterion. The series considers how comfort can be manifested through immediate belongings by discussing the spectres of both real and unreal estate, particularly in context to the spaces we inhabit and create for ourselves.

To Hold and [not] To Have is an object design project which responds to an Art Direction brief of re-imagining everyday objects and spaces using comfort as a single design criterion. The designed artefacts have been materialised as three sets of keys of the past ‘Keys Retired’, present ‘Keys In-Use’ and future ‘Keys To Be’. Displayed on a singular mechanical keychain, the objects are instruments for personal comfort through their access to memory, temporary residences and place-holding for intangible real estate.
